How do I care for my Chocolate Luxe hair?
- Wash your bundles before installing.
- We recommend co-washing your hair once a week and shampoo washing every 2 weeks or when you feel product buildup has occurred.
- Apply condition and use a wide toothcomb or a Denman brush. Always start from ends and work your way up. Let it sit for 15-45 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
- We highly recommend air-drying the hair but in any other case when you are applying any heat make sure you use a heat protectant to protect the hair from heat damage.
- Please also remember to use minimal styling products to limit the amount of build up on the hair.
Avoid using alcohol base products. This causes dryness to the hair with potential breakage.
How can I keep my curls defined?
- With our Wavy and Curly textures, use a spray bottle filled with water and spray your hair in sections.
- Use a Denman brush to lightly detangle and define curls from ends lightly up to the roots.
- For an extra pop, add a tiny bit of conditioner to the spray bottle to keep the hair hydrated and soft.
- Use your hands to scrunch the hair from ends to roots and let the hair air-dry.
- DO NOT detangles while dry!
Any night care tips you can recommend?
- Always sleep with a bonnet, satin/silk scarf or satin/silk pillowcase.
- To maintain styles wrap, pin curl, flexi rod, plat, twist, braid, or roller set your hair before bed.
Caring for your frontals, 360 frontals.
- All frontals are very high maintenance.
- Please avoid from over plucking as it weakens the lace.
- Also note we recommend if you customize your knots to spray the bottom of the frontal with a light layer of hair spay.
- When bleaching the knots, yes it adds a more customize appearance but it also damages the hair and makes it easier for the hairs to break off.
- When you are not out flaunting your Chocolate Luxe hair, make sure to keep your frontal tied down.
- This ensures the longevity of your install as well as the lifespan of your frontal.
